Robert Wermes brings over 20 years of experience as a construction general labor foreman, field superintendent, project manager, estimator and construction manager to the Siegel-Gallagher team. Wermes completed many major commercial and residential developments throughout the greater Chicago area, working with prominent real estate developers and general contractors such as J.A. Jones Construction Co., JMB/Urban Investment Development Co., The Zale Companies, Compass Management and Leasing, Inc., Enterprise Development Co, the Regent Group, Richard Builders Inc., the Belgravia Group, and Centrum Properties.
Some of Wermes’ career highlights include the five-year completion of the $450 million
900 North Michigan Avenue building, a 69-story mixed use high rise featuring Bloomingdales, Gucci, and The Four Seasons Hotel; the Ritz Carlton Hotel renovation; Woodland Commons Shopping Mall; the 22,000 sq.ft. MTV Chicago headquarters construction; $1.5 million in tenant renovations and $5.5 million of capital improvements at Chicago's 35-story Equitable Life building; Gateway Park Development, a 660,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility located on former dump site on Chicago's southwest side; and many multi-million dollar award-winning residential developments and sales centers.
During his long and successful career, Wermes developed an extensive network of top-notch subcontractors and qualified construction professionals. Wermes’ knowledge of construction and hands on experience make him a tremendous asset to the Siegel-Gallagher team.
